Buy most anything these
days and you will receive a thick instruction booklet with all sorts of
information on what to do with this new item. It even includes a “troubleshooting”
guide of how to fix each problem. Unfortunately, the most important new
additions to our homes do not come with any instructions – our children.
We are left to figure it out on our own through trial and error.
The Parent Support Network is designed to allow parents the opportunity to share their struggles and successes and explore new ideas in parenting. This site offers message boards, resources, and news items.
The Message Board allows parents to ask questions of other parents and maybe get some new parenting ideas. It is at least nice to know that you are not alone. There are other parents struggling with similar issues and others who have experienced them and found helpful solutions. To access the message board, go to “click here” in the top left corner of this page to register. You will be given temporary user status until approved by the moderator. Approval should be given the next business day. Temporary status allows users to read message boards but not to respond. As soon as approved, responses will be able to be posted.
Under
“Resources”, articles, information and links
will be posted concerning a variety of child and parenting issues. This
could include information on children’s growth and development,
child rearing, discipline/behavior modification, signs of drug abuse in
your child, etc. New items will be posted periodically so check this item
frequently.
News Items appear on the home page and are changed as needed. These items might include sports tryouts, activities, information, etc. If you know of an upcoming event that would be of interest to other families and children, you may e-mail them to parentsupport@hamiltoncenter.org. Items will be posted at the discretion of the moderator.
