Friday, May 10th at Rea Park golf course, there will be more Golf Balls DROPPED, than in the past 21 years! This year, during the 22nd Annual Sheriff's Shootout, Hamilton Center is hosting its 1st EVER Golf Ball Drop!!! CEO Mel Burks and honorary co-Chair Vigo County Sheriff Greg Ewing have joined forces with Fire Chief Jeff Fisher of the Terre Haute Fire Department so you can WIN $5,000 in support of Early Childhood Development!!! The 22nd Sheriff's Shootout is one of the largest and longest running charity golf events in the Wabash Valley, the "Sheriffs Shootout" promotes your business to over 288 golfers, 60+ volunteers and over 1,100 businesses and website visitors throughout the Wabash Valley and beyond. Title sponsor Terre Haute First Financial has always provided much needed support for the Wabash Valley's largest tournament dedicated to Early Childhood Development ages 0-3 years of age.

This year's television commercial sponsored by WTHI-TV 10 features "Rookie Golfer" two-year old Camden Perrot challenging Sheriff's Ewing and Spence, while Hamilton Center, CEO Mel Burks looks on, and will continue through the tournament, WTHI Radio stations Hi99 and the River have provided in-kind production and air time to promote the tournament kicking off Mental Health month. Garmong Construction has sponsored the "Beat" the CEO Hole for the last two years with Michael Tom's Vigo Dodge sponsoring the 50/50 cash and vehicle Hole-in-One contests. As always ONB will sponsor the Dew Sweeper prize for best AM score with lots of other fun activities/

7:30am and 1pm tee times are still available, for teams and singles with lunch by Rick's Smokehouse and Grill. Sponsorships are going fast, but we have them for every budget. The Sheriff's teams will again, play again this year, in the AM flight for county bragging rights, and the travelling trophy, won last year by Vermillion County Sheriff's Department. Early Bird AM Teams are just $400; $100 Singles. Afternoon Teams are $500; $150 Singles. Hamilton Center's division of Child & Adolescent Services (CAS) receives all net proceeds from this golf tournament. CAS provides help and support to children and their families in need of behavioral health services; many of these children are victims of child abuse and neglect and the majority of the families benefiting for this event are at or below the poverty level.
