Hamilton Center, Inc. CEO, Galen Goode, Sets Retirement Date

January 17, 2011 - Galen Goode, Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Center, Inc. has set July 6, 2012 as an effective retirement date.

"I have fully enjoyed serving persons with behavioral health needs, and I have especially enjoyed working at Hamilton Center," Goode said. Goode is currently in his 22nd year of employment as CEO of Hamilton Center, and his 42nd year in behavioral health.

During the next several months the Hamilton Center Board of Directors will be working with a search firm to clearly identify the CEO skill set necessary to take Hamilton Center to the next level of success. The Board is targeting January 2012 as a goal to bring the new CEO on board. This will allow ample time to carry out the succession plan prior to Goode's July 2012 departure.

"Galen has led Hamilton Center well and his leadership has been evident in professional and civic organizations as well as in advocacy for behavioral health at the local, state and federal policy levels. We are sad to see him retire but are planning to find the best person to fill the void," said board president, Louise Anderson.
