Lynsey Grant, LMFT
- BA in Counseling Psychology from Johnson University, 2005
- MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University, 2009
Lynsey began her training as a counselor at a small private university in the great state of Tennessee. It was here, in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, where she met her husband Derek, and they have enjoyed 10 years of marriage since then. From there, she continued her education at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN, and received a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Lynsey served as a case manager to the chronically mentally ill adult population in Grant County for 2 years, including service on the inpatient unit. After earning her master's degree in 2009, she worked at Taylor University's counseling center for 3 years, working primarily with adolescents. Three children later, Lynsey and her husband decided to move to Sullivan County to be closer to family (i.e. free babysitters). Lynsey has worked at the Hamilton Center since July 2013, and serves as a school-based therapist to the county schools. Lynsey enjoys working with children and adolescents, and is working toward a certification in Play Therapy. Lynsey's clinical interests/specialties include positive discipline, parent-child attachment, behavioral management, and holistic health.
