Debra Hoesman, LCSW
Ms. Hoesman began her career of public service working at the then, Department of Public Welfare. In the following years she worked in the Food Stamp, Medicaid, and AFDC/TANF programs. During this time she pursued her education and transferred to the Child Protection Division. After several years in that field, she decided to pursue her Masters Degree. Ms. Hoesman's field of concentration at IUPUI Indianapolis was Mental Health and Addiction. Upon graduation she began working at Center for Behavioral Health, Bloomington (currently Centerstone). There her clients were primarily families and children. Her primary interest was working with families where addiction was present and those where abuse and neglect had occurred. With her background and experience she was able to work with victims of trauma and abuse with insight and practical knowledge. In 2011 Ms. Hoesman returned to her home town of Bloomfield to work at Hamilton Center. There she continues to work with children and families but also works with adults with a variety of mental health issues such as mood and anxiety disorders. She also serves as a group leader for the addictions treatment program in Greene county . Another primary focus of her treatment has been school based therapy in both Monroe and Greene Counties. Ms. Hoesman has training in Reactive Attachment Disorder through the C.H.A.N.C.E.S. program. She has completed training in Strengthening Families, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, CBT, and has completed two Tiers of training through Star Behavior Health Providers for the treatment of Veterans. Ms. Hoesman has also established programs at Hamilton Center to treat women with history of trauma, and children of addiction. Additionally, Ms. Hoesman has personal and volunteer experience working with persons with disabilities and their families.
