Carol A. Parkins
Carol A. Parkins graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. Following graduation she and her husband traveled with the Navy until his discharge. They made their way to Brazil, Indiana to settle down and raise their three children.
Carol had previously worked at the Terre Haute office of Spectrum Industries as a Habilitation Specialist and Preschool Teacher in the early 1990's. When the Preschool program was discontinued in Hamilton Center, she left HCI to pursue other employment.
In 2000, Carol began her current career at the Clay County Hamilton Center. She was hired as a Case Manager. Soon after she began her employment, she began to assist with the addiction groups. In 2006, Carol was hired as a Counselor for addictions. She became an Indiana Certified Addiction Counselor II and an Indiana Licensed Addiction Counselor in 2010. In 2011 she became a National Certified Addiction Counselor II.
